The following six local scholarships will be awarded at the Riverview Hall of Fame Banquet on March 20, 2020. The deadline to apply for each is Monday, December 16, 2019. The Riverview Hall of Fame is sponsoring six $1500 scholarships for seniors who reside in the Riverview Community School District. Students must have school and community service experience and submit a 100-word essay on their future plans. Application HERE.
The Sons of the American Legion of Riverview is sponsoring a $900 scholarship for an RCHS senior who has a parent, sibling or grandparent in or discharged from the armed services. The student must also submit a 250-word essay. Application HERE.
The Kiwanis Club of Riverview is sponsoring a $500 scholarship for an RCHS senior who has community service experience and a minimum 2.6 GPA. Application HERE.
The Alpha Delta Kappa Sorority is sponsoring a $1000 scholarship for an RCHS all-around female senior who has been actively involved in school and/or community activities and has a minimum 2.6 GPA. Preference is given to applicants entering the education field. Application HERE.
The Charles F. Mikesell Memorial Scholarship is an $800 scholarship available to an RCHS student-athlete who has attended RCHS all four years; has a minimum 3.0 GPA and earned at least one athletic varsity letter. Application HERE.
The Nancy Holloway Memorial Elementary School Alumni Scholarship is a $500 scholarship available to an RCHS senior who attended Memorial Elementary School for at least three years and has a minimum 2.75 GPA. Application HERE.
The University of Michigan Club of Greater Detroit is sponsoring twelve unique scholarship opportunities for seniors who are planning on attending the University of Michigan-Ann Arbor. Applications are available HERE. Deadline to apply is January 17, 2020.
The NFL- Alumni-Detroit Chapter is sponsoring two $2,500 scholarships for seniors who have participated in at least one varsity sport in high school. Applicants must have a minimum 3.0 GPA and be nominated by a high school coach. Applications are available HERE. The deadline to apply is February 1, 2020.
